Competitive Edge is a boutique consulting firm serving clients throughout North America since 1994. We differ from many consultants in two major areas:

Area One: Our experience - if we haven't had personal hands on experience in the area we're consulting in [ resluting in personal accountability for results] we'll walk away from the engagement. We don't believe you should be paying for a B-school theorist who simply read about a similar case.

Area Two: Our commitment to results. If you've shopped consultants for long, you probably know that "white papers", "reports", and many other deliverables are billable services - often without a corresponding result. Many firms will charge you by the hour, by the page, and countless other ways to run up the bill. We're different. We like to sit down with you to review a given situation, come back with a proposal that includes actionable results with mileposts, and an overall project budget. We'd love to have the opportunity to discuss what you may be considering and see if we can help.

Where are you guys?

We have offices in Seattle, Washington, Montreal Quebec, and Puebla Mexico. As you can likely deduce, we are fluent in those three languages. [English, French, Spanish] A typical consulting engagement consists of meeting with a client and conducting on-site interviews, often working with sales or field staffs throughout North America, then working remotely to provide the plan. A typical interim staffing assignment is a two - six month engagement, generally related to either short-term project need, or interim staff awaiting a permanent replacement. We've worked in virtually every area of North America, and are comfortable in environments ranging from boardrooms in Boston to oilfields in Oklahoma. The short answer is many. From Software to Medical to Food Products to Manufacturing to Service Industries , we've provided relevant, focused solutions to many sectors of business - both in the public and private arenas. We've often been able to provide insights to companies by looking at an issues or situation from a perspective that an "insider" wouldn't have. If we don't feel we have value to add - or if the industry curve is too steep - we'll be the first to tell you so.
